How to use Self Lighting CHARCOAL
The fast-lighting charcoal briquettes are self-lighting and long-burning . refer Video Tutorial
They can be used to burn incense resins, powdered herbal blends, dried loose herbs and non self burning smudge wands.
The charcoal burns evenly and stay lit.
Remove a disc from the sealed roll and place it in a heat proof container. (preferably an incenser). At the base of your container, place a small piece of aluminium foil , place the non active Charcoal Briquette on top.
if you choose a METAL incenser, be careful the Metal will get very hot while the charcoal is burning, you can place a cork heat pad under your dish to prevent the heat penetrating onto another surface - ie table
Simply ignite the edge of the disc with a lighter (a long BBQ lighter works best) , give it a few seconds while the disc lights and sparks across.
The disc will release smoke for a few seconds and the edges will start to turn greyish white. You may also gently blow onto the briquette to speed up the burning process. - (ignite your charcoal outside or in a well ventilated area)
Place your resin incense, loose herbs , sweet spices or the end of your smudge wand on top of the lit charcoal.
The smoky aroma of the herbs, spices or resins will be released.
Avoid over loading or completely covering the disk briquette while it is self igniting .
SMUDGE WAND on CHARCOAL
On days of high humidity especially on rainy days, your smudge wand may not burn as well as it would on dry humid free days.

Self lighting charcoal disks are not just for burning incense resins , spices or loose herbs. Place the tip of your smudge wand onto the burning disk.
A quick and super easy method .. keeps your smudge wand burning on its own as you attend to your space clearing, meditation , ritual practices or healings.
ASH DISPOSAL
The disc can be left to burn out on your dish and allow it to cool down as it breaks down into ash. Otherwise safely extinguish the burning disc into a bucket of cold water or bury the remaining ashes into your garden soil.
In order to maintain freshness, opened rolls should be resealed (into a zip lock bag) and stored in a cool dry place. Effective storage will ensure quick lighting and long burning time.
